Tri Out® PLUS is peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide together in an aqueous solution. The molecular composition of peracetic acid is C2H4O3.
When peracetic acid is combined with hydrogen peroxide, a synergistic effect takes place creating a product with very strong contact killing ability. Hydrogen peroxide provides a quick kill while the peracetic acid provides a broader spectrum of organisms killed and provides a more complete kill, virtually wiping out all pathogens.

The mode of action of Tri Out® PLUS is oxidation. Oxidation is defined as the loss of electrons from an atom or molecule. Tri Out® PLUS ’s oxidation mode of action causes the rapid transfer of electrons across cell membranes causing an imbalance which results in cell rupture and destruction. |
Once Tri Out® PLUS has completed its action, the peracetic acid + hydrogen peroxide break down into water, vinegar, oxygen and carbon dioxide. These non-toxic by-products dissolve easily in water and are further broken down by microbes.
